Do you believe in the Red String Theory?

I do. ❣️

Across Chinese and Japanese folklore, there is a beautiful belief that an invisible red string quietly connects those who are destined to find one another. No matter the distance, no matter the years, no matter the twists and turns life places in between, the connection remains. The string may stretch, tangle, and wander, but it never breaks. Most importantly, those connected by it will only meet when the timing is right.

And what better moment to begin than June—the month that gently opens the door to summer.

There is something magical about June. The days grow longer, the light lingers a little later, and the world feels full of possibility. It is a season of fresh beginnings, spontaneous adventures, and the kind of optimism that arrives with sun-warmed skin, late evenings, and endless horizons. Summer invites us to dream bigger, dress bolder, and embrace the beauty of becoming.

As we launch the very first issue of RedStringMag, I find myself thinking about the invisible threads that connect us—not only to people, but to places, memories, and moments that shape who we are. Fashion itself is a red string; weaving together cultures, generations, designers, muses, and movements. Every photograph, every collection, and every story featured within these pages is part of a larger tapestry of connection.

RedStringMag was created to celebrate those connections. A place where style meets storytelling, where beauty is discovered in both the extraordinary and the everyday, and where creative voices can find one another across continents and communities.

Perhaps you discovered this magazine by chance while chasing the first days of summer. Or perhaps, as the theory suggests, our paths were always meant to cross.

Either way, I am delighted that our strings have intertwined here, in this inaugural June issue.

Welcome to RedStringMag.

The season is beginning. The story is just unfolding. And the timing, it seems, is exactly right.

With love,
